The project consists of the construction of a new building in downtown Montreal with mixed commercial and residential use. The challenge was to build in a very dense urban area. The advanced age and fragile condition of the adjacent building necessitated the underpinning of the existing foundation walls. We also had the challenge of installing shoring to ensure the stability of the sidewalk and street on Notre-Dame and Berard streets.
