This project consisted of the construction of a new 22-unit condominium building, complete with 1 commercial unit and underground parking. Originally the site of a gas station and garage, extensive decontamination of the site was required in order to surpass the strictest of environmental requirements. Furthermore, the site was land-locked between 2 existing old buildings and 2 streets, which required complicated underpinning and shoring of the existing building foundations.
A prefabricated wooden structure was chosen by Clobracon as the method of construction, in order to shorten the erection time and for the quality of fabrication. The building structure was erected during the cold winter months, within a short period of only a few weeks.
